Mr. Boutris' practice emphasizes tax, business and estate planning and related litigation. Mr. Boutris represents individuals and businesses with tax controversy matters before all federal and state taxing authorities. He also does extensive tax and estate planning for his clients to minimize income and estate taxes and protect assets.
In 1980, Mr. Boutris received a double B.A. degree with highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley. In 1985, Mr. Boutris received a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree from U.C. Berkeley's Boalt Hall School of Law and the Haas School of Business Management. Mr. Boutris graduated with highest honors and was an editor of the International Business and Tax Lawyer.
Mr. Boutris is currently Vice-Chair of the Executive Committee of the State Bar of California Tax Section and two-time former Chair of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Tax Section. Mr. Boutris writes and lectures extensively. He has published articles in The California Tax Lawyer, Continuing Education of the Bar publications and other prestigious legal journals. Mr. Boutris most recently lectured at the State Bar's Annual Meeting on the topic of asset protection and estate planning.
